The Front of the coin commemorates Father White's life here on earth, and his birth to Eternal Life. Of his 97 years on this earth 70 years were spent as a Priest. Before that 7 years as a Brother of the Clerics of Saint Viator.
On the coin we are reminded to ask Father White to Pray For Us.
As Catholics we must remember that we only pray to God the Father God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. To all other Saints and people we believe are in Heaven we only ask for them to Pray for us. Even the Hail Mar, is not a prayer, it is asking the Blessed Virgin Mary to intercede for us. The Hail Mary ends with the words "Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death."
It is always proper to ask for someone to pray for you or to ask for an intercession upon your behalf or the behalf of another.
